October is packed with ways for students to connect, have fun, and grow together!

Student Groups kick off Wednesday, October 7! These are small groups of students who gather at the church from 6:00–8:00 PM, with dinner provided. Our goal is for students to pursue Jesus together, walk through life together, pray and live on mission together, and gather around God’s Word. If your student would like to get connected with a group, reach out to Pastor Hunter.

On Saturday, October 17, we’ll meet up at The Wild Pumpkin from 4:00–6:00 PM for a relaxed afternoon hanging out together. Students will pay their own admission, so check thewildpumpkin.com for current admission prices and other details.

And keep an eye on the calendar for the local sporting events we’ll be attending throughout the month. We love showing up and supporting our students so come find us at a game and we MIGHT just buy you some popcorn!

November brings one of our new Student Ministry trips! On Saturday, November 7, we’re heading to Great Lakes Crossing for some large-group games, a little pre-Black Friday shopping, and, since Opening Day is just around the corner, some last-minute shopping at Bass Pro Shops!

The cost is just $5 to help cover gas. Students should also bring money for lunch at the mall and whatever spending money they’d like for shopping. Registration is required, and the deadline to sign up is Wednesday, November 4. Use the registration form below to reserve your spot!

One more date to add to your calendar: even though it isn’t listed above, join us for our Thanksgiving Eve Service on Wednesday, November 25 at 7:00 PM!

December is all about Christmas at BCC Student Ministry! We’ll celebrate together during youth group before taking a two-week Christmas break to close out the month. For all the details about Sunday nights and our Christmas Parties, head over to the YG Portal.

We may be taking a break from Sunday nights, but we’ve still got one big trip planned! On Saturday, December 19, we’re heading to Laser Team Challenge in Alpena for a full day of laser tag.

The cost is $40 per person, which covers laser tag, meals, and transportation for the day. Students may want to bring some extra spending money for snacks and drinks, which are available for purchase at Laser Team Challenge. Registration closes on Wednesday, December 16th.

We’re back! After our Christmas break, BCC Student Ministry returns to our normal schedule with Youth Group on Sunday, January 3. For all the details about our Sunday night programming, series, theme nights, and more, head over to the YG Portal.

The big events this month are our Winter Retreats at CranHill! Middle School Winter Retreat is January 15–17, and High School Winter Retreat is January 22–24. The cost is $150 per person. Registration for each retreat will close one week prior to the retreat or upon filling up.

Because retreat numbers have been lower the last couple of years, we’re starting with a limit of 10 guys and 10 girls for each retreat rather than reserving beds that may go unused and eating those costs. We may be able to add additional spots later, but that is not guaranteed, so students should register ASAP to reserve their spot!

There are three things to complete for Winter Retreat:

• Retreat Registration — Separate registration forms for Middle School and High School.
• BCC Participation Form — Every student attending needs a completed form.
• CranHill Waiver — One per family. If you’re sending multiple students, you only need to complete this once.

February is packed with fun at BCC Student Ministry! Our regular Sunday night Youth Group programming continues throughout the month, including some of our favorite theme nights. We’ve also got two Game Nights this month! Middle School Game Night will be on Saturday, February 20th and High School Game Night is on Saturday, February 27. Both will run from 6:00–9:00 PM at the church.

Game Nights feature some of our favorite group games with a twist, along with some completely new games we’ll be trying out for the first time. These nights are designed to be easy, fun spaces to invite a friend and spend an evening hanging out together.

Game Nights are completely FREE, and snacks are always provided! No registration necessary, just show up and bring a friend!

March is a little quieter on the event front, but we still have some awesome things happening during Youth Group every Sunday night! For all the details about our Sunday night programming, series, theme nights, and everything else happening at Youth Group, head over to the YG Portal.

Our big event this month is our first-ever trip to Urban Air in Saginaw on Saturday, March 20! This trip is open to both Middle School and High School students and will run from 11:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

The cost is $40 per person, and registration will close on Friday, March 12.

Spring Break is over, and we’re jumping right back into things on Sunday, April 4 with March Madness Night! We’ve got a full month of Sunday nights ahead, including a Night of Worship, Outdoor Games, and Senior Night as we start heading toward the end of another great year of Student Ministry.

On Saturday, April 24, we’re heading to Valley Lanes in Midland from 1:00–7:00 PM! Valley Lanes has a ton to do, including bowling, an arcade, indoor mini-golf, laser tag, bumper cars, escape rooms, and more. Activities are a la carte, so students can pick and choose what they want to do. Head over to the Valley Lanes website to check out the activities and current prices.

The cost for the trip is $15 per person, which covers transportation and dinner. Students should bring their own spending money for whichever activities they want to do while we’re there.
